About Us

Our Background

Hello and Welcome to the Kids in Action Tutoring Centre.

We offer homeschool tutoring for all subjects (CAPS and IEB aligned) in a safe and nurturing environment.

With 9 Years of experience, we understand that each child flourishes in their own way and our methods are designed to suit

each child's needs that require a more hands-on approach, and/or one-on-one attention.

Small-group tutoring is a priority to bring out the best in each student.

FET Phase for the 2024 Academic year.

Social interaction plays an important role in learning. Interacting with other people has proven to be quite effective in assisting the learner to organize their thoughts, reflect on their understanding, and find gaps in their reasoning.

Learning through Self-discovery

The self-discovery method focuses on the student's active role in their learning process. It is thought that a person learns better when they are allowed to access knowledge directly instead of being subjected to instruction, which teaches them how to use these data.

Learning through Mentoring

Mentoring is often one component of a program that involves other elements, such as tutoring or life skills training and coaching. The supportive, healthy relationships formed between tutors and the children are both immediate and long-term and contribute to a host of benefits.

Summarising teaches students how to discern the most important ideas in a text, how to ignore irrelevant information, and how to integrate the central ideas.

Learning through colour

Colour affects you're learning, by the way, your brain functions and uses colour to develop pattern recognition, memory, and absorbing new information. It can also visually guide you to locate, compare, understand and recall information faster.

Kids in Action is pleased to announce the introduction of our remedial classes, designed to support students who require additional assistance in specific subjects or skill areas.

These classes aim to help learners strengthen foundational competencies and progress confidently toward academic success. Kids in Action remains committed to providing high-quality educational support and fostering an environment where every child can thrive.

Our program focuses on core subjects, including literacy and numeracy, delivered through:

What is the difference between homeschooling and traditional schools?

Homeschooling provides the flexibility that traditional schools cannot offer. In general, parents decide to homeschool when their child has particular needs that cannot be accommodated within a traditional school such as a busy sports schedule, anxiety, children with learning difficulties where they cannot attend a traditional school for months on end, or where the learner needs dedicated attention and larger school classes cannot accommodate this. Kids in Action provides the bridge that is able to offer assistance to parents.

How does one start homeschooling?

We will guide you on how to register your child with an accredited educational program allowing your child to continue with homeschooling with no hiccups.

What curriculum will my child follow?

CAPS, IEB and Cambridge curriculum for Grade 1 to 12.
